USB 2.0 Universal Drive Adapter

Filed under: Utility — jon @ 7:30 am

Not sure of the quality, but I’ve been looking for a device that can do both SATA and IDE.
I just ordered one, I’ll see how it goes.

Description from their site:
The NewerTech USB 2.0 Universal Drive Adapter implements a bridge between one USB port and one ATA, Serial ATA, or ATAPI based mass storage device port. The USB 2.0 to IDE Drive Adapter turns any ATA or SATA drive into a convenient external drive. Easily transfer files from computer or notebook, back up files, or store large file archives on hard drives. The hi-speed USB interface provides for easy installation with its Plug and Play design.”
Price: $24.95

Bum Rush the Charts

Filed under: Hmmm — jon @ 5:34 pm

An effort to show ‘mainstream media’ that the power of podcasting can move an independent song to the top of the charts.
They are requesting podcasters ask their audience to buy the song “Mine Again” by the band Black Lab from the iTunes music store.
I’ve never bought a song from iTunes before, maybe this will be my first, if I remember.

Daylight Savings Calculator

Not sure how accurate this thing is, but with the recent talk of time changes it’s kind of a neat way to check.

“Have you ever wondered how much daylight you really save by shifting your clock forward each spring?
Just select your location and the time you get out of bed and you’ll get a custom report of how Daylight Savings affects you.”

Personally I’d use it for Rootbeer or Dr. Pepper, either way this thing is pretty cool.
